Privacy notice

This notice explains how Cohoda ("we", "us", "our") collects and uses your personal data, and your rights over it. We are a web design, software development, and technology consultancy based in Camberley, Surrey, United Kingdom. We are the data controller for the personal data described here, and we are registered with the Information Commissioner's Office (registration number ZA263550).

What we collect

When you use the contact form on this site, we collect the information you provide:

  • Your name
  • Your email address
  • Your phone number (optional)
  • Your company name (optional)
  • The content of your message

We only collect what you choose to send us. We do not ask for special category data, and please do not include sensitive personal information in your message.

How we use it

We use the information you send to respond to your enquiry, to discuss the work you are asking about, and to provide the services you request. We do not use it for marketing, and we do not sell it.

Legal basis

Under UK GDPR, we rely on your consent and our legitimate interest in responding to enquiries and running our business when we handle the information you submit through the contact form.

Bot protection (Cloudflare Turnstile)

To protect the contact form from spam and automated abuse, we use Cloudflare Turnstile. Turnstile runs a check in your browser to confirm you are a real person, and may process technical information such as your IP address and browser characteristics for that purpose. This processing is handled by Cloudflare. See the Cloudflare Turnstile Privacy Policy for details.

Hosting and email

This site is hosted by scream.io (a Cohoda brand) on servers protected by Cloudflare. When you submit the contact form, your message is sent to us by email so that we can reply. Your data is processed in the course of that hosting and email delivery.

Cookies

This site does not use advertising or analytics cookies. Cloudflare may set cookies or use similar technologies that are strictly necessary for security and to keep the site available.

How long we keep it

We keep enquiry correspondence for as long as needed to deal with your enquiry and any resulting work, and to meet our legal and accounting obligations. When it is no longer needed, we delete it.

Your rights

Under UK data protection law you have the right to access the personal data we hold about you, to have it corrected or deleted, to restrict or object to how we use it, and to data portability. To exercise any of these rights, email us at [email protected].

If you are not happy with how we have handled your data, you have the right to complain to the Information Commissioner's Office (ICO) at ico.org.uk.

We may update this notice from time to time. Any changes will be posted on this page.
